Bobertz named director of hotel development by Lightstone

New York, NY Lightstone, a national real estate investor/developer, has appointed Meghan Bobertz as a director of hotel development. Bobertz will handle hotel pre-development and development responsibilities for specific projects, which include managing and directing operational aspects of project design, start-up construction and land development in accordance with pre-development and construction schedules and budgets.

She will report into Christopher Baxter, senior vice president, hospitality.

Bobertz joins Lightstone after most recently serving as a vice president, construction at The Witkoff Group in New York, where she was responsible for project management, financial reporting and day-to-day design and construction management for on-going hotel developments. Earlier in her career, she was a project architect at firms in Chicago, IL and Cambridge, MA.

Bobertz graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor and Masters of Architecture.

“Hotel development is a cornerstone of Lightstone’s investment strategy, and we are constantly looking to expand our capacity in this area with excellent talent,” said Lightstone president Mitchell Hochberg. “Meghan’s extensive experience and deep understanding of hotel development and design will increase Lightstone’s ability to deliver ground breaking, state-of-the-art hotel projects.”
