Real estate agents can log onto the following three websites to participate in the courses: Online Ethics Training at www.Realtor.org, www.CENETWORK.com, and Kaplanreschools.com.
Resident requirements for continuing education include the following: A renewal license will not be issued unless you complete 22.5 hours of department of state approved continuing education within the two-year period immediately preceding such renewal.
NYSCAR members and real estate agents can complete their continuing education online with one of the many 22.5 hour New York Renewal courses.
Education Exemptions: Article 12A statutorily requires all real estate brokers and salespeople to complete 22.5 hours of department of state approved education within their two-year license period prior to the date of expiration. The law does provide for an exemption from this requirement for a real estate broker who has 15 consecutive years of combined licensure as a salesperson and a broker and who is actively engaged in the real estate business as a real estate broker at the time of renewal, or an admitted NYS attorney. A license is valid for a period of 2 years.
A final exam is not required to complete continuing education courses. Proctor/Monitor requirements are not applicable.
