Automatic Systems names McGovern as new regional sales manager

According to Automatic Systems, a leading manufacturer of pedestrian security entrance control and vehicle gates and barriers, security industry veteran Mike McGovern has been named regional sales manager - South for North America. McGovern comes to Automatic Systems with more than 16 years of security & access control experience. He was educated at Penn State University (BS-Marketing) and the University of Delaware (MBA). He spent some years in the Logistics & Transportation field before moving into the security industry in 1996. Since that time, his career has been focused on developing security and entrance control solutions implementing turnstiles, key management, and tailgate detection/people counting technology. He has held key sales and management positions with companies such as Gunnebo, Delta Turnstiles, Deister Electronics, and IEE Sensing. "I am pleased to join the entrance control leader I have admired for many years, both in my past roles as a direct competitor and also as a potential partner," said McGovern. "Automatic Systems continues to develop leading products with the highest focus on quality and customer satisfaction. I look forward to helping design client integrated security solutions in the Southern US region, based upon Automatic Systems' vehicle access control equipment (gates, road blockers, and bollards) and leading edge pedestrian entrance control products such as SmartLane, SlimLane, and the new security doors/portals, RevLock and ClearLock." Automatic Systems, a subsidiary of IER, is a world leader in automated secure entrance control. The company has been designing and manufacturing pedestrian, vehicle and passenger access control equipment for over 40 years.
