Atlantic Development Group completes 14-story Boricua College

Atlantic Development Group LLC (ADG), one of New York City's leading real estate companies, has completed Boricua College, located at 161st St. and 3rd Ave. The project took a total of five years from planning to completion. Boricua College is currently enrolling students for classes beginning in the fall of 2010 and at full occupancy will educate up to 2,000 students and employ 200 faculty and administrators. The 14-story vertical campus, surrounded by a plaza, amphitheater and acres of open spaces feels like a college town in the heart of the Bronx. In keeping with its commitment to community-based education, Boricua's campus features a library, museum, cultural center and 250-seat theater. Conception of this project originated with the president of Boricua College, Victor Alicea, Ph.D. Atlantic Development Group was then able to transform that vision into a reality. In 2005, ADG began securing funds and assembling the financing package for the project. Throughout the three years it took to organize financing, ADG worked closely with community and government officials on planning and development logistics. Construction began in November of 2007. Since its founding in 1995, Atlantic Development Group has grown into a fully integrated real estate firm with 250 employees.
