Architect Cuvier launches new division at Hunt

According to David Hunt, CEO of Hunt Corporate and Hunt Construction Services, Inc., Claude Cuvier, AIA, a NYS registered architect has been hired. Cuvier will head the firms new division, offering architectural design, construction consultation services and building inspection services. Cuvier is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, a founding member of the Design Professionals' Coalition of Long Island, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Cuvier's experience and division leadership will allow Hunt to expand its offerings. It is the goal of Hunt to expand both the Real Estate and Construction companies to offer these extended services to its brokers and commercial clients. Since all clients wish to see that their building investments are properly addressed & maximized, Hunt Construction's new division offers: Architectural Design Services: For those clients who desire expert, innovative designs, the company will offer guidance and assistance in the preparation of a spatial program that will ultimately result in an attractive, functional floor plan. During this preliminary design phase, Cuvier will prepare draft floor plans for review and discussion with each client, refining them until an approved plan is achieved. Depending upon building code criteria, the plan can be enhanced for construction purposes, or else furnished to the client's design professional of record so that a set of construction documents can be generated for building permit acquisition. Construction Consultation Services: The company will conduct an initial peer review, on their client's behalf, to identify any potentially adverse building code and/or constructability issues that may need rectification with the design professional of record. Subsequently, during construction, weekly or semi-monthly field meetings are held to monitor compliance with the construction documents and review monthly contractor payment requisitions for fairness and accuracy. Reports of field meetings are generated, complete with digital, labeled color photographs documenting job progress until project completion. Building Inspection Services: Thorough building and site inspections are conducted, including digital, labeled color photographs highlighting both specific and general aspects of each facility. Every inspection report incorporates recommendations to correct, and/or run further tests on, any areas of concern. This information addresses future capital improvements to be anticipated and planned for, and can be utilized by a prospective buyer to negotiate a more equitable purchase price prior to contract signing or closing. "Mr. Cuvier enables us to share services that are not otherwise available through a realtor or construction company. Once again, we are consistently expanding to bring more expertise to our clients overall." said Hunt. Hunt Construction Services, Inc. was founded in 2010 as an extension of the Hunt Real Estate division. Hunt Construction Services specializes in providing construction management, general contracting, and maintenance services for companies of all sizes throughout the New York metro area.
