American Cancer Society to host Women of the Year Golf Classic

The American Cancer Society will present an exclusive day of golf followed by a grand cocktail reception and awards presentation in honor of women on June 11 at Pine Hollow Country Club. Registration opens at 10:45 a.m. with a 1 p.m. shot-gun start, the event ends at 8 p.m. Honorees: Bianca O'Brien - partner, New York Life Insurance Company; Karen Strom, Esq. - partner, Schroder & Strom, LLP; Robin Weingast - president, Robin S. Weingast and Associates, Inc. The day of golf includes a commemorative tee gift, greens fees, fore caddie, cart, driving range, locker room facilities, parking, networking brunch, on course refreshments and a grand cocktail reception. Proceeds from the Golf Classic will help support American Cancer Society programs and services for cancer patients and their families, including Road to Recovery, which provides free round-trip transportation for cancer patients to doctor visits and treatments, and Reach to Recovery, a 30-year program which pairs trained volunteer breast cancer survivors with newly diagnosed cancer patients to help them cope with their diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
