AESI offers site remediation expertise

Hoboken, NJ Caryl Communications Inc. was appointed as media correspondent for Atlantic Environmental Solutions, Inc. (AESI), a full-service environmental consulting firm. AESI has handled over $50 million in industrial and commercial projects at over 5,000 client locations across 47 states. 

AESI has two decades of experience in the regulatory, technical, and management aspects of environmental issues in NJ, NY and across the U.S. The firm’s scope of services includes environmental due diligence; soil and groundwater investigations and remediation; asbestos, wetlands and indoor air quality surveys. Senior management maintains involvement in all projects with a focus on providing clients with cost effective, reliable solutions that will ensure a better quality of life for communities and their residents. The firm’s leadership is qualified to provide expert testimony and litigation support on a range of environmental and regulatory compliance issues.

Led by Michael J. Novak, LSRP, president, AESI has experienced substantial growth over the past 10 years, with revenues increasing fourfold. Projects have included  asbestos evaluations for 1,500 properties for a national retailer; evaluating 1,500 homes impacted by Super Storm Sandy, LSRP services for multiple urban cities; helping to reposition a 6-parcel site in Red Hook, Brooklyn into a last-mile distribution facility; and more than 100 remediation projects for Newark and Port Elizabeth-related industrial and logistics businesses.

The firm routinely performs Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for property buyers, sellers and lenders to help establish “innocent purchaser” and “bona fide prospective purchaser” status in commercial real estate property transactions. AESI also represents roughly 1.5 percent of the productivity under the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) Program. To date, the firm has closed 140 LSRP matters and has 270 total LSRP projects.
