Developing Brooklyn: Brooklyn Technical High School

Brooklyn, NY Brooklyn Technical High School, recognized as the largest high school in the United States, is undergoing a critical exterior restoration project. The scope of work includes significant structural and roofing repairs aimed at preserving the historic integrity of the facility while maintaining the highest safety standards for all stakeholders.

Scope of Work:

Parapet Wall Replacement:

The project entails the complete replacement of parapet walls across all roof areas. This work will also involve the removal and replacement of roofing materials directly impacted by the parapet construction activities, ensuring a seamless and watertight transition.

Copper Roof Replacement on Tower:

The iconic copper roof located atop the school’s tower, approximately 150 ft. above ground level, will be carefully removed and replaced. This work demands specialized access solutions and fall protection measures, given the height and complexity of the structure.

Play Area Rehabilitation:

Located on the roof, the school’s recreational play area will undergo essential repairs. This includes replacing existing wire mesh and reinforcing structural elements to enhance safety and usability for students and staff.
