3tarchitects creates partnership with interior designer Hay

After collaborating together for 2 years, 3tarchitects have formed an exclusive partnership with interior designer, Katrina Merolle Hay. Hay originally from Columbia County,, lived in the DC/MD/VA area for 17 years where she worked for some of the area's top design firms in the multi-housing industry before co-founding her own successful Interior Design Studio. "Our partnership with Katrina allows 3t to offer services beyond what traditional architecture firms offer. We have now become a one-stop-shop where we can fully realize our motto to never stop at the threshold and go even further with our level of design services," said Alicia Germano, operations and business development director. "Although these are services we've generally offered in the past, we're lucky to have found someone to join our creative team, providing, technical and professional skills, and years of experience to offer even more to our clients. It truly is a value added proposition for all," said Scott Townsend, the firm's founder and owner. In addition to more extensive focus on some of the interior design aspects of projects, one of the most exciting services that will be added to 3t's service offerings is the selection, procurement, and installation of artwork, accessories and furniture. This allows 3t the opportunity to see their vision for projects through to the end and provide a "turn-key" service. During her time in Maryland, Hay worked for an award-winning interior design firm before co-founding her own studio in 2009. An opportunity further east for her family led her to move back to the area and work with 3tarchitects. Over the past few years Hay has become more than a consultant and 3t and Hay realized the potential of joining experience and knowledge. "I am excited to solidify my relationship with 3tarchitects and to be able to create opportunities together. When I moved to the area and was looking for a good fit, I was very excited to find 3t. They are right up my alley in terms of design vision and I have found that not only do we have similar tastes, but we share similar values and respect for each other's work. We work seamlessly together.. The partnership for me is equally as smart as it is fulfilling. 3t's talented staff produces such great work and always with a meaningful mission" said Hay. "There are a lot of great things happening at 3t and I am glad that I can be part of it." Hay graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology cum laude with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in New York, NY. She is licensed in 4 States, a LEED-Accredited professional, and an active professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). Although she misses Maryland, Hay is happy to be back in Upstate NY and closer to her immediate family who all reside in Vermont. Currently she lives in Sand Lake with her husband Steve where they enjoy time outdoors and hiking with their dog, Hatty.
