What trend or change in commercial real estate do you believe will have the biggest impact over the next five years? 

I expect AI’s expanding role to have the largest impact on CRE over the next 5 years, particularly infrastructure to support power, data, and workplace performance. The greatest advantage will be faster access to better information. Especially valuable as buyers/tenants and owners look for creative ways to reposition older office, retail, and industrial property to match the highest demand in their market. 

Regardless of AI’s increasing sophistication, it will not replace experience, specialized knowledge, and judgment central to successful outcomes for owners and communities.

What advice would you give to the next generation of women entering commercial real estate?

The next generation of women in CRE is in the best position possible to contribute to an industry that needs them to continue evolving. Recognize your personal strengths, what you bring to the table, and the marketplace. Refine your craft through intentional consistency. Get a mentor, seek input from professionals you look up to. Learn through growth that will be uncomfortable! Do your best to remain enthusiastic. Make it about the client and not yourself. Do not leave! All will lead to inevitable success, not only professionally, but personally and for the clients and communities you serve.
