2026 Women in Construction: Hannah Franklin, SLSCO

Hannah Franklin
Program Manager
SLSCO

What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about, and why does it matter for your team, clients or community?

I’m most excited about leading a strategic reorganization for the Northeast region, focused on defining target markets, project parameters, resources, and workflows. By creating clarity, structure, and clear roles, we strengthened trust across our teams, enabling everyone to collaborate more effectively, make decisions with confidence, and deliver stronger results for clients. Seeing how these refined processes improve outcomes for our people, our clients, and the communities we serve has been incredibly rewarding and inspiring.

What is one piece of advice or perspective you would share with women beginning their careers in the construction industry?

My advice for women starting in construction is to always maintain your integrity, this industry will challenge it in many ways. Be clear on who you are and the type of work you want to pursue. Ask questions constantly, no one knows everything, and every project offers a lesson. Learn how all departments operate, support teams across functions, and understand the full picture. Doing so builds credibility, sharpens skills, and creates lasting impact for both your career and your teams.

What is something outside of work that brings you energy, balance or creativity?

Movement and laughter are my reset! They bring balance, energy, and inspiration both in and out of work.
