2025 Women in Construction: Jessica Gross, Montroy Architecture

Jessica Gross
Designer and Project Director
Montroy Architecture

What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community?

Montroy Architecture’s repeat client, Capital Properties, has entrusted me with leading the design and project management of over 100 workplace projects at 111-115 Bdwy. in Manhattan. My work at this one million s/f building spans a decade and has given me the opportunity to design a wide variety of tech, law, non-profit and medical office types. Following our work at this landmark property, the landlord invited Montroy to reposition and rebrand the 540,000 s/f Park Square building in Boston. Capital Properties’ continued trust in my firm’s and my personal expertise has been very rewarding.

What trends or innovations do you believe will shape the future of your field, and how are you positioning yourself (or your firm) to be at the forefront?

Technology, especially the new AI-supported design and collaboration applications, are transforming the architectural industry. While this technology is still in the early development phase, it already supports collaboration and visualization work, including creation of interactive renderings. These digital tools will continuously improve the efficiency of design processes, including hybrid and remote teamwork, a critical aspect of today’s AEC industry.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work?

I love attending industry and open house events. Other designers’ work inspires and motivates me.
