Robert Withers
President & CEO
M1 Capital Corp.

Recent goal and impact:

Our company reached $500 million in loans arranged on behalf of our clients since its inception in 2012.

Turning problems into opportunities:

During the recent CRE downturn, we quickly adapted by shifting our focus to owner-occupied investors — leveraging SBA and build-to-own financing strategies that allowed us not just to survive, but thrive in a challenging market.

Sharing knowledge and expertise:

We rely on good old-fashioned networking, speaking at industry events, and a strategic mix of social media, digital advertising, and print campaigns — including our blog, The Equity Strategist, and guest columnist features across industry platforms.

Giving Back: I’m the co-founder and co-chair of The Breakfast Club, a real estate-focused business development group that meets every other Friday. We help members grow their businesses through networking and collaboration, while also giving back to the community — raising funds and volunteering for causes close to our hearts, including St. Jude Children’s Hospital, ARC of Westchester, and Feeding Westchester.

Best books, podcasts, or apps for aspiring leaders: Mindset , The Alchemist , The Greatest Salesman in the World, Awaken the Giant Within.

Best advice for new leaders: Do what you tell others to do, those you lead are watching you - lead by your actions not your words!

Who was/is your role model and/or leadership mentor? Warren Buffett always impressed me — he’s built an extraordinary legacy while staying above the noise
