What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? Representation of a client in the diligence and negotiation to acquire a non-performing mezzanine loan and the subsequent restructuring of such mezzanine loan in connection with new construction loan mortgage financing. The restructuring of the capital stack facilitated the continuation of the construction of a stalled commercial development comprised of retail and offices. There was a tremendous sense of accomplishment in concluding this interesting and important project for my client.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you? My mother who had the self-confidence and courage to relocate to pursue a career at a time when few women had such opportunities.

Why should this nominee be recognized in our Women in Commercial Real Estate Spotlight? “Lisa’s remarkable range of experience and depth of her knowledge in all aspects of real estate law across a wide spectrum of transactions sets her apart as an industry leader. She brings to each representation intelligence, skills, creativity and excellent judgment. The breadth of her experience brings great value to our real estate practice group and our clients.” - Marc Landis, Managing Partner and Co-Chair, Real Estate Practice at Phillips Nizer LLP.
