2023 Women in CRE: Julia Lee, Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP

Julia Lee
Associate
Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of?

I’m very proud of the work that I do on a regular basis. Real property taxes are the single greatest expense for property owners and applicable tenants. It is a significant hardship that can be exacerbated by an evolving market. I’m grateful that my work helps to alleviate this burden for hardworking New Yorkers. I believe it plays a role in encouraging people and businesses to stay in New York and keep our economy thriving.

What are the most important factors women in your industry should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with?

I would recommend looking for a cohesive team with an open-door policy where each member helps the others learn and accomplish their respective goals.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you?

My team! It’s great to work with a full-service business/CRE legal team who genuinely cares about producing the best possible results for our clients.

Why should this nominee be recognized in our Women in Commercial Real Estate Spotlight?

“Julia is hardworking, knowledgeable, responsive and attentive to detail. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to run my business. This process was not an easy one for me and I’m extremely thankful I had Julia by my side to help me every step of the way.” - Nicholas Gullo, Managing Member at Gullo Grappling, LLC.
