In the past year, what project or accomplishment are you most proud of?

The accomplishment I am most proud of is obtaining my Enrolled Agent (EA) license, the highest credential issued by the IRS. I can now represent my construction clients before the IRS and offer even more support and guidance in their tax controversy matters.

How can AEC companies recruit more women?

AEC companies looking to recruit more women should do more to acknowledge and communicate to women that we are enough. Outside pressures and responsibilities can make us take a step back and feel we cannot have it all at both work and home. Knowing that our employers recognize and appreciate what we put forth – above and beyond outside roles – can make women feel more comfortable in this industry. In fact, what we contribute is more than just enough. Being able to juggle multiple responsibilities at once is one of the many qualities that make women so powerful in this environment.

What is your favorite building in New York?
My favorite building in New York has to be the Empire State Building. It is just so classic, and it is a landmark not only in the city but also around the world. Although there are so many newer modern buildings in New York, there is only one Empire State Building. The history of the building and classic architecture definitely make it a top favorite of mine.
