2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Noah Kagan, AKF

Noah Kagan
Project Mechanical Engineer
AKF

Number of years at firm: 6

When I am not working, I am: Spending time with friends, family, and our cat Cashew.

One thing on my bucket list: Hiking all the high peaks in the Catskill Mountains

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? The accomplishments I am proudest of recently are passing my PE Exam to become a licensed professional engineer in the state of N.Y., and helping mentor and educate junior mechanical engineers at AKF Group. I spent several months preparing for the exam with practice problems, readings, and prep courses that I completed on the weekends and after my working hours for the day were completed; and I tried to bring the knowledge I was gaining during my studying back to my job and pass it on to younger engineers to begin preparing them to take the exam themselves someday.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?

“Noah brings an enormous amount of passion to all of his projects. Sustainability and environmental stewardship are at the forefront of all system design he takes on. In a very short time, Noah designed and completed several high-profile projects. He is integral to AKF’s technical training and collaboration.” - Dennis Michel, Mechanical Technical Leader at AKF
