What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2016?

M Moser Architects has had the pleasure and privilege in 2016 to work on and with some of the world’s most innovative companies in the Fintech, Technology, Creative and Legal sectors, which includes: D.E. Shaw& Co.’s NYC Vertical Headquarters redesign and restack of 125,000Sf at 1166 Avenue of the Americas; Blackstone Innovations & Infrastructure (Bxii) business group (in Manhattan); Stripe’s 300,000 SF San Francisco Headquarters and Global Expansion; and Publicis Groupe Prodigious’ NY Headquarters, located Industry City development in Brooklyn and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (WSGR) innovation incubator and accelerator spaces nationally.

What project, transaction, market trend or product had the greatest impact on your industry this year?

Our expanding research and knowledge of creating agile environments for leading technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Pivotal Labs and many others has influenced how we approach solutions for all sectors we service. All companies are being influenced by software, technology and shifting demographic trends. Creating more agile environments promotes flexibility, wellness, health, productivity and work/life balance, which enables a dynamic to recruit talent and do work better. We see this trend accelerating.

How will you be supercharging your productivity in 2017?

M Moser both in New York and Globally, has invested over the last year in professional development for our staff on best-in-class technology solutions, such as the integration of building information modeling (BIM) systems.  We have also included virtual and mixed reality tools, such as Oculus Rift and Microsoft’s HoloLens, with pre-fabrication into all projects in order to better to best fuse the latest technology with our work processes.

What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2017?

The major trend we’ve seen is to create a meaningful workspace that support organizations in attracting and retaining the best and the brightest talent for their companies. We’ve had the opportunity to work with passionate and intelligent people like William Murphy, COO of Blackstone Group on their NYC project, Blackstone Innovations & Infrastructure (Bxii). This workplace hub will support the future of advancing technology within Blackstone and in the entire financial/fintech sector.
