2013-01-16: Zandi of Moody's to speak at ULI N.Y. lunch

According to Urban Land Institute New York, (ULI N.Y.) it will host its Eighth Annual Economic Forecast and Real Estate Outlook Luncheon, which will address domestic and international economic issues, on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, located at 601 Lexington Ave. Dr. Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics and co-founder of Economy.com, will present the annual Economic Forecast and Real Estate Outlook, a comprehensive assessment of and projected outlook for the U.S. and regional economy describing implications for the commercial and residential real estate markets. Following the presentation, Thomas Justin of The Weitzman Group will interview Dr. Zandi and lead the discussion portion of the program, which will include specific insights into the effects of this year's Presidential Election. Questions to be addressed include what actions the President can take to bolster economic growth in 2013, what to expect in regard to the current record low interest rates, how recent domestic oil and natural gas discoveries will impact the economy in the short and long term, how the actions of other world economies will affect the U.S., and how real estate investors may participate in a market upturn. Dr. Zandi is chief economist at Moody's Analytics and co-founder of Economy.com. A recognized global thought leader, Dr. Zandi serves a trusted adviser to policymakers. He frequently testifies before Congress on topics including the economic outlook, the nation's daunting fiscal challenges, the merits of fiscal stimulus, financial regulatory reform, and foreclosure mitigation.
