ORT America will host its Engineering & Construction Honoree Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 1st from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Union League Club. This year's luncheon will honor key industry leaders and celebrate the organization's charitable legacy. Each year, ORT America honors leaders from the region's architectural, engineering, building management and construction industries for their dedication to their respective industries and the greater good.
This year ORT America will recognize:
* Edwin Christian, president and business manager, Local 14-14B, International Union of Operating Engineers,
* Thomas Prendergast, chairman, Metropolitan Transportation Authority
* Frank Sciame Jr., chairman & CEO, Sciame Construction
In recognition of their illustrious service and commitment to philanthropy, Christian and Sciame will receive the ORT Community Achievement Award. Of the honor, Sciame said, "I am excited about helping ORT America to continue to do for future generations what they have been doing so well for many past generations." Prendergast will receive the ORT Distinguished Service Award for his years of dedicated leadership to the organization.
The luncheon will also highlight ORT America's commitment to preparing students for the future by giving them a platform to change their lives and impact their communities.
