04-07-2014 - Network for a cure at PinkTie.org's April 7th event

PinkTie.org | Real Estate Professionals Networking for a Cure, is hosting their second annual PinkTie.org event on April 7th at Carlyle on the Green | Bethpage State Park, to raise money for the FACT (Find A Cure Today) Breast Cancer Foundation. PinkTie.org is one of the fastest growing, most influential real estate networking organizations on Long Island, providing companies in the real estate realm major exposure to their targeted audience. Not only do their events raise a considerable amount of money for a great cause, they provide viable and personalized corporate brand recognition and networking opportunities to a company's target market. On April 7th, you can meet and mingle with top real estate professionals, surround yourself with renowned athletes, and network for a cure. The evening, moderated by News 12 Long Island's Elisa DiStefano, consists of cocktail hour, dinner, open bar, exclusive raffles, entertainment, live music, interactive sport experiences, and more! Guests attending the PinkTie.org Event include: NY Mets and NY Yankees World Series Champion, Cy Young Award Winner and PinkTie.org's spokesperson Dwight "Doc" Gooden, Walter "Clyde" Frazier, NY Giants Super Bowl MVP Ottis "OJ" Anderson, member of New York Jets' famed "New York Sack Exchange" Joe Klecko, Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano, actor Bo Dietl from Martin Scorsese's films The Wolf of Wall Street and Godfellas. "PinkTie.org was founded on the premise that breast cancer is an all too familiar threat on Long Island, impacting just about everyone in one way or another," said Mike Cave, founder of PinkTie.org and CEO of 1st Equity Title & Closing Services. "I realized that we in the real estate community could be doing a lot more to help put an end to this insidious disease, which is disproportionately prevalent here on the Island." Statistics show that Long Island has one of the highest rates of breast cancer in the nation - which unfortunately means that everyone personally knows or will know someone who has or will be affected in their lifetime. With the annual PinkTie.org event approaching on April 7th PinkTie.org's goal is to raise $100,000; and they are already more than half way there, thanks to some of their top sponsors: Alure Home Improvement, Contour Mortgage, Vanguard Funding, Steiner Sports, and Ferrari-Maserati of Long Island. Unlike many other charities, where large portions of the proceeds go towards "administrative fees," not one single penny of the proceeds raised through PinkTie.org gets eaten up in overhead expenses. 100% of funds raised benefit a multitude of local organizations working towards a cure for breast cancer, including: North Shore LIJ Breast Cancer Initiative, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, South Nassau Communities Hospital, and Free Wig Program, to name a few. PinkTie.org's goal is to hold upscale networking events within the real estate community, where they can synergize their vast network with participating companies and provide exposure to other professionals in this dynamic industry - all while working together to raise funds for various foundations who support research and education, for diseases that are widespread on Long Island. Find a cure today! Christine Herbst is the director of public relations/marketing of 1st Equity Title and Closing Services, Syosset, N.Y.

Tri-state capital migrates nationally amid regulation pressure - by Reese Weaver

New York tri-state multifamily investors are increasingly reallocating capital to less-regulated markets across the U.S. as rent control and legislative risk erode returns at home. The death of the generic offering memorandum: What buyers expect in 2025 - by Kimberly Zar Bloorian

There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking
