03-19-2015 - Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo to feature 17 industry leaders

Expos Your Business will present the 2015 Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo on Thursday, March 19 at the Long Island Hilton. Produced by and for Long Islanders, the 2015 Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo will feature unique programs including 17 business leaders as guest speakers discussing issues that affect the business climate on Long Island and the greater New York metropolitan region. Seminar highlights will include NYS CE credit in Green Buildings, a live drone demonstration, a talk on how real estate professionals can maximize their energy dollars and a discussion on the changing face of real estate business on Long Island. Over 90 business exhibitors from across Long Island and the greater metropolitan area that cater to the real estate industry are expected to attend. National corporations, local entrepreneurs, nonprofits, government agencies, business advocacy groups and the media will all take part in the show. Businesses will showcase new products, services and cost-saving solutions to support expansion and new business development. The Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo will kickoff with a NYS CE Credit course in Green Commercial Buildings and breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to be followed by a live drone demonstration. Event highlights this year include an Executive Business Lunch focusing on "The Changing Face of Retail on Long Island" with specific discussion of the redevelopment of the Nassau Coliseum and surrounding area. The "Employment Oriented Districts" panel will have a targeted discussion on the future of Long Island development. Another seminar highlight will be the LICREE 2015 Business Growth Workshops, a series of intensive 30-minute sessions focusing on public relations, sales and marketing for real estate professionals. When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
