Valentino of ABS Partners Real Estate brokers 2,600 s/f retail lease to Il Bisonte

Manhattan, NY According to Gregg Schenker, president and co-managing partner of ABS Partners Real Estate, Italian accessories and leather brand Il Bisonte has signed a new 2,600 s/f retail lease at 381 Bleecker St., a five-story property located in the West Village. This is the brand’s first U.S. location, in addition to eight stores it operates in Europe as well as 44 mono-brand stores globally. Il Bisonte is scheduled to open its doors in February.

ABS Partner’s Dean Valentino represented the ownership, Roundstone Properties, while Greg Flood and Joel Issacs from Isaacs and Company acted on behalf of Il Bisonte. 

“Bleecker St. has experienced a major turnaround over the last six to eight months and has once again become an active retail hub,” said Valentino. “The tenant activity has consisted primarily of unique pop-up concepts, but this is the is the first long-term lease to be signed on Bleecker St.’s fashion corridor.”

“Bleecker St. is in an exciting period of growth and positive change right now, and the West Village is a perfect fit for Il Bisonte,” said Flood. “Il Bisonte took this space as a vote of confidence in the improving Bleecker St. market.”

Il Bisonte was born in 1970 by Wanny Di Filippo, II in a small artisanal workroom in the heart of Florence, Italy. The showroom and head offices of the high-end brand known for its artisanship are based in the same Corsini Palace overlooking the Arno river, where Popes, heads of government, intellectuals and artists stayed since the XVII Century and where the first creations of Il Bisonte were dreamt of, designed and produced over 50 years ago.
