What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? I oversee the management and long-term development of the Navy Yard, which includes our diverse tenant base of over 300 businesses. We are in the midst of our largest expansion since WWII, adding 3 million s/f of space in the next 5 years, with more than 15 million s/f of air rights. We’re planning for future developments that will build on our role as a center for job creation and innovation, with a goal of delivering better service to our tenants. As a mission driven not-for-profit, an important initiative is connecting local residents to the economic opportunities at the yard.

How do you unwind from a busy day in real estate? I have a two young children who I try to cook for and eat dinner with every night. “Unwinding” doesn’t really apply, but cooking with my son and having a sit down family meal is definitely the highlight of my day.
