Nadia Samuelson, FXFOWLE Architects

Name: Nadia Samuelson
Title: Architect
Company: FXFOWLE Architects
Location: New York, N.Y.
College: Ball State University
First job outside of real estate: It wasn't my first, but definitely the most influential: working in various libraries at Ball State University, including the Music Listening and Architecture libraries.
First job in real estate or allied field: Intern at Carol Maryan Architect PC
What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? FXFOWLE is an architectural, interior design, planning and sustainability firm with offices in New York, Washington, D.C., Dubai, Abu Dhabi. I am currently working on Griffin Court, a new luxury condo in Manhattan's Clinton neighborhood, and Isis Condos on the Upper East Side.
Favorite book: "Fool on the Hill" by Matt Ruff. (I can't believe that it hasn't been turned into a movie yet!)
Favorite movies: "Star Wars" (3-6), "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," Hitchcock's "Notorious," "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," "12 Monkeys" and "This Is Spinal Tap"
Person you admire most (outside of family): My good friend and fellow architect Jeff. He has a very smart, honest, pure and direct personality, balanced with silliness and wit. I look to him for guidance in professional and personal matters alike.
Key to success: Following my gut instinct
If you had to choose another vocation what would it be? Artist by day, musician and bartender by night
