What advice would you give to women just starting out in commercial real estate? Over the past few years that I have been involved in the commercial real estate industry, I realize it is imperative that we as women remain competitive by continuously educating ourselves on our products and the needs of our customers. The real estate industry is evolving as fast as the world is changing; therefore, we must first understand it's needs in order to provide them with our goods and services. How do you manage the work/life balance? I am able to manage my work and private life by understanding there is a time and place for everything; then implementing that rule into my daily routine. Who or what has been the strongest influence on your career? Being able to interact and learn from tenured seasoned professionals in this industry has probably been the greatest influence on my career thus far. Also learning how to bridge work experiences throughout my career, taking the tools that I have gained, placing them in my tool box and using them when required for future use. What impact has social networking had on your business? Social networking has impacted my business 99.9%. Most business begins and is maintained through social networking and the relationships that it builds. It fuses strategic alliances, innovation, longevity, and allegiance in this industry and with individuals from all business levels and positions.
