White of CJ2 discusses how being a WEDLI member has impacted her

How has being a member of WEDLI impacted you or your business? As a new WEDLI member, I am extremely impressed by the experience and professionalism of the women I meet at our meetings. In only a short period of time, the networking has resulted in a partnership with another company on an exciting project. As a certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE), CJ2 looks forward to forging other new relationships in the future. Real estate development is challenging, particularly on Long Island. Savvy developers have learned that they need to work closely with the community and the various stakeholders to bring their projects to fruition. My previous experience as an aide to an elected official and in organizing political campaigns has transitioned into skills that have enabled CJ2 to work successfully with some of Long Island's major developers. The needs of Long Islanders are changing, and as a result, the real estate industry is changing. It is both an exciting and a challenging time to be a participant in this process.
