Whelan promoted to associate by CA Rich Consultants

According to CA Rich Consultants Inc., Victoria Whelan has been promoted to associate at the firm. She has 10 years of experience in the environmental field and has performed field investigations and remedial activities at numerous sites in Long Island and NYC. Whelan conducts Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments of commercial and industrial properties, as well as other non-industrial properties to facilitate real estate property transfers, loan workouts, and refinances. Whelan is also currently working with several developers of "E" designated and other regulated properties in NYC that need to comply with CEQR property testing and cleanup requirements to obtain the "Notice to Proceed" and "Notice of Satisfaction" documents Whelan received her bachelor of science degree in Geology from NY State University at Oswego. She is a qualified environmental professional (QEP) certified by the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice and a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) certified by the American Institute of Professional Geologists. Whelan's numerous articles have been published in industry publications such as LI Business News and the New York Real Estate Journal.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
