Weiss of T. Weiss reps landlord in 4,205 s/f lease to NT-ware

Just weeks after Canon USA opened its new U.S. headquarters, another Canon business has leased space nearby. NT-ware USA, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of a German technology company majority owned by Canon Europe, has leased space in T. Weiss Realty Corp.'s Melville Corporate Center I. NT-ware leased 4,205 s/f in the class A office building at 105 Maxess Rd. for its U.S. headquarters. The company, formerly based in Babylon, occupied its new space on Aug.1. "We are pleased that NT-ware has made the decision to relocate to the Melville area, and has moved into their new office at 105 Maxess Rd." said Ted Weiss, T. Weiss Realty's founder and chief executive. "Adding NT-ware's technology-based firm to the prestigious list of tenants at Melville Corporate Center I is a perfect fit for the building which houses other tenants in the financial, legal, environmental and educational industries." "Canon USA's relocation from Lake Success into Melville has afforded the Rte. 110 corridor with numerous benefits," said T. Weiss Realty's managing director Craig Weiss, who arranged the lease on behalf of the landlord. "Jobs have been created, existing municipal infrastructure has been updated, local supporting businesses have grown, and firms that work closely with Canon, such as NT-ware, have relocated to Melville in order to remain in close proximity to Canon's offices." Mitch Rarey of USI Real Estate Brokerage Services Inc. represented NT-ware. Founded in 1998, NT-ware is a leading-edge technology company specializing in the creation, development and support of printing and scanning management software distributed by Canon. NT-ware, 70 percent owned by Canon Europe, is headquartered in Bad Iburg, Germany, and has subsidiaries in New York and Singapore. Canon USA recently celebrated the opening of its new headquarters in Melville, where 1,400 employees work in 700,000 square feet at the intersection of S. Service Road and Old Walt Whitman Road, about a mile from Melville Corporate Center I. T. Weiss Realty also announced two lease renewals at 105 Maxess Rd. Ideal Sleeves International Inc., a packaging company based in Willes-Barre, Penn., renewed its lease for 2,400 s/f of office space. Tom DiMicelli of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Ideal. Craig Weiss represented the landlord in-house. Safeguard Operations LLC, the self-storage company, renewed its lease for 1,750 s/f of office space in a direct deal with the landlord. About T.
