Bruce Wasserstein, Lazard Ltd.

Bruce Wasserstein, CEO of investment bank Lazard Ltd. died on Oct. 14 at the age of 61.
He was best known for engineering major deals, such as the takeover of RJR Nabisco by private-equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts.
Wasserstein funds owns Penton Media, which publishes National Real Estate Investor and Lodging Hospitality. His funds also own The Deal and New York magazines.
