Ward Associates, P.C. completes award-winning municipal bldg.

Amityville Village Hall, designed by Ward Associates, P.C. Architects, Landscape Architects and Engineers, has received numerous recognition by local and regional leaders in energy efficiency development. Since its completion in November 2008, the $9.6 million municipal building has been honored as the 2009 "Top Green Project" by Long Island Business News, and is anticipating LEED "Gold" rating as certified by U.S. Green Building Council. In addition, the energy savings achieved by the Village Hall earned the Village of Amityville the title of "Municipal Leader for Energy Efficiency" by Northeast Energy Efficient Partnership. The 20,000 s/f, 3-story, brick-and-limestone structure was designed in American Georgian style to compliment the traditional setting of the village. The Village Hall houses its police department, municipal offices, court room, and training areas. Greenman Pedersen was the MEP engineer and Sandpebble Builders was the construction manager for the project.
