New York, NY According to Farrell Virga, president and CEO of Himmel + Meringoff Properties Inc., Jason Vacker has been promoted to COO. Formerly executive vice president and director of leasing for the company’s entire 16-building, 2 million s/f commercial office portfolio, Vacker will continue to oversee leasing until his successor is announced.  His new responsibilities include oversight of all property/asset management, leasing, construction and marketing. “Having been with the company for nearly eight years, Jason has proven to be a natural at the business,” said Virga.  “Creative, innovative, dedicated and possessing a profound understanding of the real estate market, Jason’s leadership qualities will serve him well in this important new position.” A member of REBNY and the current membership Chairman of YM/WREA, Jason is also actively involved as a PENCIL partner.  He earned a BBA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.  An avid runner, he completed his first New York City Marathon in 2011.
