Urban Compass expands with Cox Jr. and Giordano
Technology-driven residential real estate company Urban Compass continues its rapid and strategic expansion with the addition of two top sales agents. James Cox Jr., accompanied by Frank Giordano, have joined the firm's new Union Sq. office to focus not only on their Manhattan-based exclusives, including a full floor at Tribeca's One York condominium listed at $18 million, but also some new development opportunities in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and 26 custom residences in the scenic Hudson Woods development in the Catskills.
"Urban Compass just celebrated its one-year anniversary, and we are very proud of the progress we have made in that year, including opening two offices and bringing some top talent onboard," said Robert Reffkin, founder and CEO of Urban Compass. "James has an incredible amount of experience that allows him to excel both in New York and internationally, and we are very excited to welcome him to lead our growth into new markets."
Cox Jr. joins Urban Compass with an extensive amount of experience in the design, marketing, and sales aspects of both luxury residences and hotels. In addition to an array of international experience, including generating over $200 million in annual sales in residences at Esentai Tower in Kazakhstan, Cox also served as Director of Residences at the Ritz Carlton and has headed his own real estate firm. A graduate of the New York Institute of Technology, he holds a degree in International Business and Finance.
Giordano comes to Urban Compass with extensive experience in the service and real estate industries. Giordano, who has a degree in Marketing from Pace University as well as experience in the culinary field, prides himself on giving clients above-and-beyond service.
"Urban Compass represents a new type of brokerage," said Cox. "Their technology coupled with the creative approach of an exceptional management team presented a unique opportunity for me to grow my business. The flexibility of their agent tools will empower me to provide best-in-class service and differentiated capabilities to my clients around the world."
Since its launch in May of 2013, the Urban Compass team has grown to over 50 real estate agents that have come directly from a variety of top New York City firms, including Douglas Elliman, TOWN, Citi Habitats, Corcoran, Stribling & Associates, Brown Harris Stevens, and various smaller firms.
