West Point, NY On September 18-20, the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will host a joint conference at the Thayer Hotel. The Tri-State ACEC Fall Conference will provide a unique, multi-state perspective on the ever-changing engineering profession.

The agenda for the conference includes a number of sessions featuring representatives from all three states, including a panel discussion from Department of Transportation chief engineers, a presentation on tolls from state authorities, and a congressional panel on the economic future of all three states. Additionally, the agenda features a number of PDH opportunities, as well as a vast quantity of networking and informational sessions.

“There’s no other conference in the engineering industry that provides the same level of collaboration and problem-solving for professionals from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania,” said ACEC New York president Jay Simson. “This is only the second time we’ve presented this event, and the first event in 2012 was a great success. We are confident this conference will have a lasting positive impact on the engineering industry in all three states.”

The conference will not only appeal to engineering professionals – a full track for CFOs and business managers will be offered on Monday, September 19, covering topics that include AASHTO 2016, cybersecurity, equity incentive plans, and leadership succession. Additionally, an exhibit hall will showcase top services for any engineering firm.

Those professionals who are looking for more recreational networking opportunities should sign up for the Tri-State Golf Tournament at the West Point Golf Course, which will take place on Sunday, September 18. As part of the tournament, a hole-in-one contest will be held with a prize of $10,000.

The mission of ACEC is to promote the business interests of member firms through networking, advocacy, education and business services. To that end, this conference is a must-attend for any firm looking to excel in a competitive industry.

Special early registration pricing is available until August 19. Sponsorship is also available, including space in the exhibit hall. A room block at a discounted rate has been secured; contact the Thayer Hotel directly and mention the ACEC Tri-State Fall Conference. Visit acecny.org for more information and to register on-line.

ACEC New York is a proactive coalition of 290 firms representing every discipline of engineering related to the built environment—civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, geotechnical—and affiliated companies. Their shared goals are to further the business interests of their membership, enhance the quality and safety of the environment we live and work in, and help ensure the vitality of our communities.
