Thru the Lens: Shkury at the Dor Chadash Farewll Reception for Asaf Shariv
Shimon Shkury attended the Dor Chadash Farewell Reception for Asaf Shariv at the Loews Regency Hotel on Wednesday, July 21st. During the event, Shkury and his wife, Ruby Gelman, were presented with a Special Friendship Award for their dedication to Dor Chadash, an organization that connects Jews in the New York area with Israel.
After the event, Shkury said "I am very pleased to have been honored by an organization that supports Israel and understands the importance of connecting people to Israel."
As a native of Israel, Shkury came to the US in '99 to earn an MBA in finance at the Wharton School of Business and a master's degree in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He continues to travel back to Israel to visit family and supports various charitable organizations with a commitment to Israel.
