Thru the Lens: Hudson Gateway Realtor Foundation presents $3,000 to Drug Crisis in Our Backyard

White Plains, NY The Hudson Gateway Realtor Foundation, the charitable arm of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, presented a check for $3,000 to Drug Crisis in Our Backyard, based in Carmel but serving the Hudson Valley. Drug Crisis in Our Backyard was founded in 2012 by Susan and Steve Salomone, and Carol and Lou Christiansen after the loss of their sons to a battle against heroin.  The organization promotes awareness about drug use, assists addicted and at-risk individuals and their families, and implements measures, including legislation that holds accountable organizations and medical institutions that perpetuate drug use through over-prescription of opiates and other drugs. It serves the Hudson Valley region with support groups and various events.

“Drug Crisis in Our Backyard appreciates the generosity of HG Realtor Foundation,” said Carol Christiansen, co-founder.  “Drug Crisis in Our Backyard is here for everyone who needs us. Remember you are not alone… you matter.”

Christiansen is a broker/owner with Café Realty in Mount Kisco, and Steve Salomone is an associate broker with Houlihan Lawrence Commercial Real Estate in Rye Brook.
