Thru the Lens: Ariel Property Advisors hosts fundraiser

More than 200 real estate professionals, friends, and colleagues gathered in the Sky Lounge of Midtown's Atelier building for a holiday fundraiser hosted by Shimon Shkury, president of Ariel Property Advisors, and his wife Dr. Ruby Gelman. The event raised funds for Legal Outreach, a nonprofit that prepares urban youth from underserved communities in the city to compete at high academic levels by using intensive legal and educational programs as tools for fostering vision, developing skills, enhancing confidence, and facilitating the pursuit of higher education. Shkury serves on the advisory board of Legal Outreach and introduced James O'Neal, the organization's executive director, who spoke about the mission of the nonprofit that he founded in 1983-84. Young people served by the program also attended the event.
