"A Winter's Evening" dinner dance at the Grand Hyatt New York on Dec. 14th honored Klara and Larry Silverstein and raised more than $2.8 million to benefit the nation's leading respiratory hospital, National Jewish Health. They received the National Jewish Health couple Humanitarian Award, which was presented to them by their children, Lisa Silverstein and Roger Silverstein. Silverstein, president and CEO of Silverstein Properties Inc., was one of the original founders of the event, now in its 44th year.
Proceeds from this year's Dinner funded the Klara and Larry Silverstein Fund for Pediatric Asthma and Allergy Research and Treatment and the Wendy Siegel Fund for Leukemia and Cancer Research.
