Thrasher of Hunt Commercial represents Drilling of CAN Properties in $1.53 million sale

Amherst, NY Amherst Alarm, Inc., one of Western New York’s largest independently owned security/fire alarm system companies recently completed the purchase of new headquarters. Founded in 1984, the company has 65 employees based out of its headquarters. The company’s growth created the need for a larger, more efficient headquarters for their offices.The search for a new location concluded with the purchase of the 18,500 s/f building on 4.92 acres located at 2361 Wehrle Dr.,

The seller, Jeff Drilling of CAN Properties, LLC, was represented by Clarke Thrasher of HUNT Commercial Real Estate. The purchaser, Amherst Alarm Inc. was represented by Richard Sterben of New York Corporate Realty and Jane Theriault of HUNT Commercial Real Estate.

Amherst Alarm paid $1.53 million for the building and has plans for an extensive investment in the property. It will serve as the location for their monitoring response center and, with room for continued growth, will allow the Amherst Alarm team to serve its clients well into the future.

The new facility will be equipped with technology for providing security services throughout Western N.Y. There are currently several other tenants in the building whose leases will remain in place.
