The Long Island Real Estate Group hosted a June 10 fund-raising event that enabled members of the group and their guests to network with leading developers, owners and politicians at The Aqua, the oceanfront luxury condominium project of Engel Burman Group.
Almost 100 people attended the event, a fundraiser to benefit the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center in East Hills, the Family Service League in Huntington and Fitzgerald House, in Wyandanch, which provides shelter for homeless veterans.
Attendees included former Senator Al Damato and developers/owners Charles Alter of Louis Lefkowtiz Realty; Jan Burman and Steven Krieger of Engel Burman Group; Fred Colin of Colin Development; Debra Cox, of the Parisi Organization; Roger Delisle of Island Associates; Steve Getlan of Getlan Associates; Nathan and Joshua Halegua of Jonis Realty; Mark Hamer of Harvest Real Estate Partners; Neal Kaplan of Kabro Associates, Mike Kaufman and Marc Kemp of Basser-Kaufman; Russell Matthews of the Albanese Organization; Charles and Emanuel Mayeri of Summit Development; Sylvia Mermel of Sivan Properties; Gary Passavia, Lee Passavia, and Will Passavia of Domus Group; Bruce Pergament, of Pergament Properties, Jay Quinn of the Christopher Companies; Gregg Rechler of Rechler Equity Partners, Clifford Sondock of Spiegel Associates; Stuart Walton of Greenway Plaza; Ted Weiss of T. LIREG formed to encourage networking among Long Island real estate developers, owners and allied trades and to raise funds for charitable real estate-related projects on Long Island, now has 187 members. LIREG has contributed more than $150,000 to such charities as Haven House/Bridges Inc., Angela's House, Sunrise Day Camp, Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, Hospice Care Network and Habitat for Humanity.
