TAYLOR celebrates ribbon cutting at Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Rochester

Rochester, NY TAYLOR, a leading regional commercial general contractor, completed construction of the new Courtyard by Marriott east-end hotel and co-hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate, which formally opened its doors to the public on June 17th. TAYLOR, managing design and construction with Silvestri Architects and Passero Associates, joined a partnership with local developers and locally-based hotel management company Essex Hotel Management, for development and management of the new 91,000 s/f, 126- room hotel located at 390 East Ave. adjacent to City Grill, replacing the former East Avenue Inn & Suites.

“We were proud to partner with Saunders Management, Flower City Development, Essex Hotel Management and others to construct this modern and industry-leading brand in the city of Rochester,” said TAYLOR president, Karl Schuler. “We were excited to serve as contractors for such a key project in our community.”

“On behalf of the entire 360 East CBM, LLC team we are extremely excited about the Marriott Courtyard project,” said Essex Hotel Management president and director, Barbara Purvis. “With the assistance from Imagine Monroe, we were able to redevelop the current location with a full-service hotel which is not only more energy efficient, it also allows us to add more employees which will nearly double the previous workforce. Led by one of the most powerful portfolios and reservation systems in the industry, this brand gives people more ways to connect, experience and expand within our Rochester community.”

The Courtyard by Marriott at East Ave. and Alexander St. was designed by Silvestri Architects.

It features a state-of-the-art business center, 24-hour fitness center, café, and everything else you need to be productive, unwind, and move forward.
