Manhattan, NY Taconic Partners and National Real Estate Advisors have signed a lease with Samudhra at The Ellery, the luxury mixed-use residential development at 312 West 43rd St. in Hell’s Kitchen. The addition of the New Jersey-based premium Indian restaurant and lounge brings a new full-service dining destination to The Ellery, advancing Taconic’s vision for the property as an active part of the surrounding Hell’s Kitchen and Times Square community.
Samudhra will occupy 10,000 s/f along West 43rd St. The space will include a dedicated dining area, bar and lounge. The new location will mark Samudhra’s first outpost in New York City and second location overall.
“Samudhra brings a premium new dining and social experience that will serve both our residents and the broader neighborhood,” George Tsapelas, senior vice president with Taconic Partners. “From the outset, our vision for The Ellery has been to create a dynamic mixed-use destination that contributes to the energy of the area, and Samudhra further strengthens the retail and dining mix we’ve curated at the property.”
“We are thrilled to bring Samudhra to the heart of New York City and become part of the vibrant Times Sq. and Hell’s Kitchen neighborhoods. The Ellery provides an exceptional setting for our New York City location and gives us the opportunity to introduce our distinctive premium Indian dining and lounge experience to a much broader audience. We look forward to creating a destination where authentic Indian cuisine, hospitality, and atmosphere come together, while building on the experience that has made Samudhra a favorite on the East Coast” said Mangesh Chinthamaneni, founder & CEO at Samudhra.
Developed by Taconic Partners and National Real Estate Advisors, The Ellery is a 350,000 s/f mixed-use development located at 312 West 43rd St. in Hell’s Kitchen. Completed in 2024, the 33-story building features 330 residences and more than 30,000 s/f of luxury amenities, including a rooftop pool, private gardens, spa areas, fitness center and coworking spaces.
The addition of Samudhra follows the full lease-up of The Ellery’s residences fewer than 11 months after launch and builds on the recent opening of ALDI, further expanding the building’s retail offerings with a new dining destination for the area’s vibrant mix of residents, workers and visitors.
Taconic and National Real Estate Advisors were represented in the transaction by Lon Rubackin, Michael Kadosh, and Bevan Cohen from CBRE. Samudhra was represented by Brad Schwarz from Lee & Associates.
