T. Weiss Realty Corporation leases 10,729 s/f to NYU's Polytechnic Institute

The Polytechnic Institute of New York University has renewed the lease for its satellite Long Island campus at T. Weiss Realty Corp.'s Melville Corporate Center I. The school, formerly Polytechnic University, moved its Long Island Graduate Center to 10,729 s/f in the class A office building at 105 Maxess Rd., in 2002 after about 40 years at its own 25-acre Farmingdale campus, which has since become a shopping center. "I am pleased that Polytechnic Institute will continue to call our quality building with its premier location and class A amenities its Long Island home and we appreciate the university's vote of confidence in our strong family ownership," said Ted Weiss, founder and chief executive of T. Weiss Realty Corp. Scott Berfas and Brian Lee of Newmark Knight Frank represented NYU-Poly in the lease renewal. Craig Weiss, managing director, represented T. Weiss Realty in house.
