East Setauket, NY Colliers secured a long-term lease extension and expansion for Stony Brook University Hospital within the Stony Brook Technology Center (SBTC). A Colliers team led by vice presidents Maria Valanzano and Steven D’Orazio represented the landlord, TRITEC Real Estate Company, in the transaction. David Leviton from JLL represented Stony Brook in the transaction.
Stony Brook Hospital System is a nationally ranked research and academic medical center on Long Island expanding its footprint within SBTC. The 25,000 s/f building, located at 181 N Belle Mead Rd., is now fully leased with Stony Brook Hospital operating multiple departments within the facility. SBTC’s class A multi-amenity medical and office building will now accommodate Stony Brook Hospital’s marketing and communications department, EEG neurology center, general administration and pediatrics center.

SBTC is a 103-acre campus-style technology park with over one million s/f of space. Home to some of the nation’s top researchers and surgeons, the innovative technology center sits in close proximity to major health systems. The 28-building property has a park-like atmosphere with greenery, ponds and fountains throughout the campus.
The technology park is in proximity to Stony Brook University and three major health systems including Northwell Health at Mather Hospital, Stony Brook University Hospital and Catholic Health Systems at St. Charles Hospital.
