Stalco Construction, Inc. completed the $1.5-million expansion and complete renovation of the IGA Supermarket. Stalco served the owners, Thomas and Charles Reichert, as general contractor for the 25,000 s/f retail facility located at 54566 Rte. 25 on Long Island. Following the expansion, the supermarket hired nearly 20 new full and part-time employees.

The flat roof features 12 rain drains spaced evenly throughout its surface.
According to Stalco Superintendent Michael Marchese, "interior finishes include VET tiles in the main sales area and ornamental imitation slate and wood flooring in the produce and Deli sections; suspended acoustical tile ceilings; recessed fluorescent lighting fixtures; and painted gypsum board walls." Stalco installed all new MEP systems, including three 10-ton Luxaire MagnaDRY heating and cooling units, rigid ductwork, electrical distribution systems, and plumbing piping and fixtures.
