Stacom of Cushman & Wakefield to be honored by The Visiting Nurse Service of New York

According to Cushman & Wakefield, The Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) will honor executive vice chairman Tara Stacom at the organization's annual benefit gala on Thursday, November 13. With acclaimed entertainer Joel Grey as master of ceremonies, the event will be held at the Waldorf Astoria. The gala's theme is "Investing in Children, Strengthening Families." Stacom has distinguished herself as one of the leading brokerage professionals in the real estate industry. She has executed more than 40 million s/f in transactions on behalf of such tenants as Lazard Freres, Bank of America, Bank of New York Mellon, Allen & Co., and VNSNY, as well as some of New York's most prominent owners and investors. Among a number of high-profile assignments, she serves as exclusive leasing agent for the iconic One World Trade Center. Stacom will receive the Lillian D. Wald award from VNSNY. Named after the organization's founder, the award recognizes individuals who have contributed to the health and welfare of others. This year's other recipient is Douglas Broadwater, a retired partner with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and former board chair of VNSNY. "The Visiting Nurse Service of New York is one of America's most respected health care agencies, and it devotes much of its energy to serving the underinsured and the uninsured," said Stacom. "It is a privilege to be recognized by such a highly esteemed organization." The gala event, which benefits VNSNY's Children and Family Services Programs, begins with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing at 7 p.m. The VNSNY is one of the country's largest not-for-profit home health care agencies. Its programs help patients improve their quality of life, and reduce the number and length of hospitalizations. The organization offers a comprehensive array of home and community-based services to meet the diverse medical and personal care needs of its patients, members and clients, regardless of age, diagnosis or ability to pay.
