Special Olympics N.Y. hosts Sponsor an Athlete at second annual Evening of Champions

Hauppauge, NY On November 9th, Special Olympics New York - Long Island hosted their Second Annual “Evening of Champions” Sponsor an Athlete Event at Simplay. 

Business professionals gathered to support and raise money for Special Olympics New York. Many Special Olympics athletes attended and shared their experiences while participating in various athletic simulator events during the cocktail hour. NBC’s Bruce Beck emceed the evening program and the night raised $36,000 which will allow hundreds of athletes to compete in various Special Olympics competitions this year.
