SL Green signs 17 leases totaling 86,000 s/f at the Graybar Building
According to SL Green Realty Corp (SLG), 17 tenants have signed leases totaling a combined 86,333 s/f at 420 Lexington Avenue, aslo known as the Graybar Building during the first quarter of 2014. The 30-story, 1.2 million s/f class A office building is located above Grand Central Terminal.
"Leasing activity has been robust with strong tenant demand from a wide range of businesses," said Steve Durels, SL Green executive vice president and director of leasing and real property, who added that the Graybar Building is a great barometer on the health of the midtown leasing market given the buildings size, location and tenant diversity both in size and type.
Three of the most recent leases include:
* The Law Offices of Neal Brickman signed a new 10-year 7, 730 s/f lease covering a portion of the 24th floor;
* Pride Technologies LLC and Pride Global Finance signed a 10-year expansion lease comprised of a total of 19,672 s/f for portions of the 29th and 30th floor: and
* Phoenix Investment Advisers, LLC signed five-year expansion lease covering 11,665 s/f for a portion of the 20th floor.
Silvio Petriello of CBRE represented Phoenix Investment Advisers while David Amsterdam represented SL Green in-house for both Phoenix and Pride Technologies.
