Sierra Residential moves office to 875 Avenue of the Americas

New York, NY Sierra Residential has moved its offices to 875 Avenue of the Americas, on the corner of West 31st St. The firm had been previously located in the Sierra Realty headquarters at 600 Madison Ave., since launching in 2013. The move signifies the expansion of the division from primarily an owner’s representative servicing the Sierra-Cogswell portfolio to a full-service residential brokerage with a client base that includes many additional landlords. In addition, the Sierra Residential team now includes agents specializing in apartment sales, as well as tenant representation and corporate relocation. “We grew quickly from overseeing and helping invigorate an existing portfolio of our parent company, to a residential agency that works with a diverse range of landlords and tenants,” said Adam Frisch, managing principal and co-founder of Sierra Residential. “Our in-depth understanding of what landlords look for in tenants sets us apart from other brokerage firms. This experience has proved especially helpful to independent and small property owners.” Within a few years, Frisch has already been instrumental in increasing the Sierra-Cogswell rent rolls by approximately 35 percent. In addition to supervising efficient renovations and providing the types of upgrades residents seek, he and his team have identified and removed tenants for non-payment, illegal sublets, tenants with unapproved AirBnB guests, and other scofflaw situations that have negatively affected their landlord clients. At the same time, they have developed workable criteria for corporate relocations and overseen renovations that have resulted in improved tenant rosters and higher market rents. With the new offices conveniently close to Penn Station, North Chelsea, Times Square South and Hudson Yards, Sierra Residential is centrally positioned for easy access to many units within the Sierra-Cogswell portfolio, as well as other units in Manhattan and the outer boroughs.
