Long Island Business News (LIBN) presented its annual Commercial Broker of the Year/Retail award to Jayson Siano, managing principal of Sabre Real Estate Group LLC.
Siano and this year's other winners were honored at an April 23rd dinner at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. A year ago, the publication recognized Siano as one of the region's 40-Under-40 business leaders.
"It is truly an honor to receive commercial broker of the year for 2012, my company'a first full calendar year in business," Siano said.
A prolific dealmaker, in 2012 Siano, among other deals, arranged multiple leases in the NY Metro area on behalf of Blink Fitness, Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, Starbucks, Muscle Maker Grill, Dots, Bonefish Grill, Massage Envy and Pet Valu.
A 1999 University of Arizona grad, Siano joined Breslin in 2001 to pursue a career in retail real estate. Just 25 at the time, he was the youngest broker at Breslin Realty, a firm credited for producing the majority of the talent in the industry. Five years later Siano completed more than 30 leases in a one year and has since come to be known as a wunderkind of retail real estate. In April 2011, he and his now partner and former mentor, Kenneth Breslin, established the New York metropolitan region's newest retail brokerage company, Sabre Real Estate Group. Prior to forming Sabre, Siano spent four years as first vice president and co-director of the retail services group at CB Richard Ellis's Woodbury office.
During his decade in the business, Siano has been a prolific deal maker and has brought numerous national chains to Long Island, including Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Panda Express, Massage Envy, European Wax Center, OrangeTheory Fitness, Play N Trade, Smoothie King, Muscle Maker Grill, Cosi and Sport Clips. Also, he helped Starbucks Coffee Co. find more than 60 locations across Long Island and co-founded a now 1,000-member real estate networking organization, The Retail Network.
Siano, a native of Dix Hills, now resides in Huntington with his wife, Danielle, and their son Jax.
